Academia Larte also organizes in-person courses in Manaus. The current course offerings, which are open to the public, include workshops on ear training and improvisation in January 2027 in Manaus. This provides an opportunity to get to know the city and its creative community, make new friends, and develop improvisation concepts together with them.

Further details about the workshops will follow here later this year. However, those interested are welcome to contact us now via the email address info@academia-larte.org.

Fundamentals of ear training

Music is usually understood as a kind of structure made up of fixed elements—tones, intervals, chords, rhythms, timbres, and so on. This course presents an alternative way of understanding music: as a world consisting of elements that change their form and relationships
depending on the context in which they are embedded.
